I'm always looking for new ways to broaden my travel horizons. I truly enjoy chasing down centers of my passions when I'm looking for new places to go. This week, I started thinking - I wonder if I have a travel astrology?

I love studying astrology. My sun sign is Aquarius, which I know means that I enjoy going to places that are very "go with the flow." I don't need to have a structure to anything that I do, as long as there's adventure to be found along the way! Learning about culture or doing things that I consider cultural are important to me - and that's really consistent with being an Air sign. And it's why I found the Travel Astrology site at iVillage such a fun stop on my vacation planning highway.

I found it really interesting compare my own Aquarius travel profile with my own preferences, and it was absolutely fascinating to compare my travel profile with that of the people in my life that I've traveled in the past and plan to travel with in the future (nothing like unearthing the potential reasons behind vacation stressors before you have to encounter them in person!). In reading my profile, however, it also led me to wonder - will a conservation vacation feed my soul in a new way that I really need to explore? Aquarians are notorious for wanting to save the world and contribute to causes. That's something that I definitely want to explore for the future. What can I do to support voluntourism? My Aquarius destination planner also reminds people that we Aquarians love the city experience, so eventually, I need to update my city list and find new adventures that way, too.

The iVillage site does have a few broken links - which is mildly frustrating - but the main astrology portions all seem to be in tact.

The thing that I enjoyed about doing this research is that is gave me yet another way of looking for my next solo travel excursion.
