A Review of Diabetes Buddy Lite

A Review of Diabetes Buddy Lite

So who doesn’t have a smart phone these days? Going to apps for whatever your droid or iphone can be confusing. There are a lot of free apps relating to diabetes tracking. Here is a review of Diabetes Buddy Lite.

The home page is the tracker page, listing an overview, glucose, medication, activity, carbs, water along with weight, setting as well as a sponsor message.

First off lets review the overview, this is a calendar to keep track of each day for your goals. It’s pretty straightforward and well gives your history when you tap the date.

Glucose: This little feature lets you keep track of your readings from out of bed to before bed and anytime between. This will let you put time, date, glucose and any other notes needed.

Medication: You can load time, date, medication name, dosage and any notations needed. This is mainly for Type 1 and the different types of insulin used.

Activity: Again with the date and time function, the rate of exercise from none to heavy. Duration and notes

Carbs: This keeps track of all your carbs consumed for the day. Categories include common foods, restaurants, brand names, search database. After you find your favorites, you can load the food list and also customize and add recipes.

Water: Everyone knows you need to drink water. You have nine icons you can set to volume for your daily water intake.

Weight: To track your weight whether to lose or maintain.

Settings: You can change the setting to meet your needs.

Sponsor: This is if you want to upgrade to the paid version. The paid version track has no ads, unlimited number of logs, charts and even a blood pressure function. Another nifty addition is it will email you your daily readings.

Remember don’t guess, TEST!!!

This little app does a lot and once you got it programmed it would be quite useful. But everyone has their own preferences, plus it’s free so how can you go wrong. Have fun testing out the new free apps out there.
