I'm not a big eater of gumdrops - gummy bears are more my style. The gumdrops I enjoy are the ones with crystals around the outside, while these are just plain. So I handed these around to get other points of view on them to supplement my own.
We all found them to be OK, with interesting fruit flavors, but the texture was sort of off. The gumdrops broke apart into little bits in your mouth, like little gum bits to then chew on. There are a full 29g sugar alcohols per serving so this is REALLY going to affect your intestines if you are at all affected by sugar alcohols.
Maybe these would be good if you were a huge gumdrop fan and were having a craving - or maybe if you were doing a recipe that used gumdrops for decorative purposes. But I wouldn't use these for a 'treat' on a low carb diet. There are many other low carb candies that are much closer to the real thing.
