Lisa Irwin Missing Baby from Kansas City Missouri

On October 4, 2011 at 7 AM an AMBER Alert was activated by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department for a missing 10 month old infant, named Lisa Irwin. Lisa’s parents Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley reported their child missing from 3630 North Lister Avenue after her father returned from work around 4 am and could not locate the child. Twelve hours later police cancelled the AMBER Alert but continued to search for the infant. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Department of Public Safety website still has an Endangered Person Advisory Alert posted for Lisa Irwin.

Six months have passed and very little information about what to happened Lisa Irwin is known. Her case remains an unsolved mystery. What authorities do know is Lisa’s mother Deborah Bradley was the last person who was with the baby. Deborah Bradley told authorities she placed her daughter in her crib Monday night October 3 around 1030 pm, but when the baby’s father Jeremy Irwin arrived home from his job around 4 am the next morning he could not located his daughter. Authorities have speculated that the person, who took the infant, may have entered the home through an open window in Lisa Irwin’s room.

Throughout the investigation, Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley have maintained that someone came into their home and took the infant between October 3 and October 4. Yet, as the FBI, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and local police continued to search for the missing baby her parents became less cooperative. It was discovered that on the night her daughter disappeared Deborah Bradley was drinking alcohol. Recently, on the Dr. Phil show she admitted to Dr. Phil that she was drunk the night her little girl disappeared, but that she “is only guilty of drinking too much” and maintains she had nothing to do with her daughter’s disappearance.

Authorities have acknowledged previously that Deborah Bradley failed a polygraph test, and that her story was unreliable. The relationship between Lisa Irwin’s parents and authorities investigating the missing child case has been stressed from the beginning and until Lisa’s parents appeared on the Dr. Phil show in early February they had not talked openly to the public or the authorities for months. Honestly what parent stops talking to the police when their child is missing? Most parents would be screaming from the rooftops to try and locate their child.

In addition to Lisa Irwin’s parents, a well-known private investigator, "Wild" Bill Stanton, appeared on the show stating to Dr. Phil that he was hired to help locate Lisa Irwin by an anonymous benefactor close to the family. In addition, the benefactor has provided a $100,000 reward for information that helps solve the mystery of Lisa Irwin’s disappearance.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) describes the missing infant with fine blonde hair, blue eyes, weighing between 26 and 30 pounds. She is 2 feet six inches tall and was wearing a purple shirt and purple shorts with white kittens when she disappeared. Lisa has an identifying birthmark located on her upper right thigh. Her DOB (date of birth) is November 11, 2010.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) maintains a 24 hour hotline for information regarding missing and abducted children. The number is 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST) and callers can remain anonymous. You may also contact the Kansas City Police Department at 1-816-474-8477 if you have any information regarding the circumstances surrounding Lisa Irwin’s disappearance.
