Pre-cut Patchwork Fabrics

These days, quilters find it hard to make the time to quilt and a number of manufacturers have realised this. Some patchwork manufacturers have developed “pre cut” fabrics in certain shapes and sizes, to help the time poor quilter to get on with the job of creating.

Pre cut fabrics also cater for those quilters who are not confident to rotary cut their fabrics. Most Pre cut fabrics have a description to set them apart from each other.

I have researched the many different pre cut patchwork fabric that is available today and have given a detailed description of each for your convenience.

A Dessert Roll contains 10 pre-cut 5" x width of fabric strips

A Honey Bun contains 40 strips, 1 1/2" x width of fabric (always 40, regardless of the number of pieces in the line, so you could have duplicates or have a few pieces of the line left out).

A Jelly Cake contains one Layer Cake AND one Jelly Roll!

A Jelly Roll contains 40 strips, 2 1/2" x width of fabric (always 40, regardless of the number of pieces in the line, so you could have duplicates or have a few pieces of the line left out).

A Layer Cake contains 40 or 42 x 10" squares (always at least 40, regardless of the number of pieces in the line, so you could have duplicates or have a few pieces of the line left out).
