Narnia - Chronicles of Narnia Clues

Aslan breathing life into the stone statuary, is one of most stirring scenes in C. S. Lewis’ book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The mighty lion, and the Pevensie girls enter Queen Jardis, the White Witch’s castle.

The place is eery and quiet. Queen Jadis and her allies have left the evil place. Nothing is left except for hundreds of statues. The statues are of stone in different shapes.

There are statues of animals, centaurs, and others. They are former victims of Queen Jadis’ wrath. In some way, in the past, they angered the witch. The injured White Witch changes them into statues with a flick of her wand.

Aslan enters the evil domain without fear. He walks toward a stone figure. The statue is a Faun. In fact, it is Mr. Tumnus in stone. Aslan stands before the figure and blows a gentle puff in Mr. Tumnus’ face. Instantaneously, the stone begins to crumble. The stone pieces fall to the floor. Mr. Tumnus is free from the evil Queen’s curse.

Aslan, the creator of Narnia, walks from one stone figure to another, giving each a small puff of his breath. They too, are soon free from Queen Jadis’ curse.
