Polynesian Baked Ham Sauce

Polynesian Baked Ham Sauce

Serve this delicious spicy-sweet fruit sauce with any baked ham.

  • 1 can (15 oz.) sliced peaches
  • 1 can (8-3/4 oz.) crushed pineapple
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup frozen orange juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup whole maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Preparation -
Drain the peaches and pineapple, reserving the juice. In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and spices. Stir in the reserved canned fruit juice, orange juice and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Reduce heat to simmer. Stir in the peaches, pineapple, cherries and raisins. Simmer for a few more minutes or until heated through. Serve warm, on the side, with baked ham.
