One of my sons is fascinated with all things Japan, so seeing Matsuri at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas was an absolute must for our family. The word Matsuri is Japanese for �festival�, appropriately describing the vibrant celebration of dance, beauty, and amazing athleticism featured in the show.

From Japanese drumming to dainty umbrellas, Matsuri creates a mesmerizing cultural experience that has something for everyone. The energy of the cast never stops. Many times I found my jaw dropping and head turning to my family, saying �Woa!� The acrobatics are truly impressive in this �Muscle Musical,� performed equally well by the men and the women. The women are strong beauties and the men have an especially fun sense of humor that completely cracked us up. It�s a great family-friendly show for all ages, as well as a perfect choice for international visitors to Sin City because there is no dialogue; the performers speak volumes without saying a word.

One of the best kept secrets on the Strip, Matsuri completed its 500th show last April. It almost feels like a Japanese Cirque du Soleil with all of the variety of talent and a soft thematic story woven between acts. There is often so much going on, that you don�t know where to look. It�s non-stop action during the 75 minute spectacular. The costumes are gorgeous, created by renowned designer Junko Koshino.

Matsuri has no dark days, which makes you wonder when on earth the cast of 18 athletes ever gets to rest! They deserve the standing ovation they get at every performance. It was a hugely successful show in Japan, selling out the 140 performances each year. Catch it while it�s here in Vegas. I highly recommend this one!

In August of this year, Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced that it will be demolishing the Imperial Palace and building a massive entertainment complex on the property, including the O'Shea's casino site. Word on the street says that it will have one of those huge wheel hubs that have been built in other large cities. The project is called Project Linq.
