Tee is for Texas

Since I am very much interested and living in Texas this advertising section of the Golf For Women magazine had a section called "Tee is for Texas". It says to think BIG as the Lone Star State is a great vacation destination with over 900 golf courses. you will also find a variety of fun and you can't beat it as something bigger is better and Texas has a lot to offer.

As they say that once you set food in Texas you will discover why it is like a whole other country. This is the largest state and covers vast amount of space with a variety of different areas to visit. You will find a golf course whereever you stop. From the rolling hills, majestic mountains wide-open spaces, plains area, piney woods area and tropical beach area in South Texas/

This article says that there are 19 LPGA golfers along with 70 PGA members all call Texas home. The crown jewel of the hill country is Austin, Texas featuring four championship golf courses. Dallas known as the Big D also is home to many well known golf courses. In Grapevine at the Cowboy Golf Club the putting green is shaped like a star. Where I live in Salado, Texas we have the Mill Creek Golf Club with the signature hole is shaped like a heart for the Heart of Texas. This is also the golf hole where I live.

If you venture to south Texas and South Padre Island with its relaxed atmosphere and a chance to venture into Mexico. If you still want to golf there are a variety of golf courses along south Texas, including South Padre Island Golf Club where several holes overlook the scenic Gulf.

One can't forget Houston as many golf courses are available here and the most popular are The Woodlands Resort serving two championship golf courses. There is always San Antonio with a great many things to see including the Alamo. They also have a variety of championship golf courses, it is called the top-10 most popular tourist spot and a unique and diverse city in America. Everyone should enjoy the river walk or cruise the river to view all the interesting sites. As they say the Lone Star State is truly like visiting a whole other country and their golf courses are available to play all year round. Welcome to Texas.
