Georgia's Bones

Celebrate Youth Art Month and the art of Georgia O'Keefe with this beautiful picture book.

Few artists are associated with the southwest more than Georgia O'Keefe. Her colors and themes express the feeling and stark environment of her adopted home, New Mexico. Now a new book presents Georgia O'Keefe's story in an accessible form for younger readers.

Georgia's Bones, by Jennifer Bryant and illustrated by Bethanne Anderson
Anderson expresses the beauty, grace, and fluidity of O'Keefe without simply mimicking them. Bryant tells of O'Keefe's fascination with natural shapes and items that others would over look or toss away. This book celebrates Georgia O'Keefe's desire to become an artist and her unique vision of the world.
