So here's a little something to put a smile on your face! In the recent shopping trips I have willingly been on I began to discover a lot of what some might call 'funny quotes' on magnets, mugs, teddys, shot glasses. It's no wonder these boring gifts which you seem to get every year seem to have come up with a new way of being sold. You read these quotes, laugh, think 'that is so true!' or 'ME TOO!' and ending up thinking that the quote is so specifically designed for you that you buy the gift, (being the boring mug or another magnet for your fridge) and bam, they have a sale.

So I decided to pick some of these 'ha ha' quotes out to share with you all.

"I know longer skinny dip, I chunky dunk"
-For all those women out there who aren't as stick thin as celebs and don't count every calorie that they eat, I think this quote would be very much appreciated. There's just something this quote which brings the humour, the assonance of 'chunky dunk' and maybe even the image of a large woman jumping into water creating a huge splash?... I'm not quite sure but either way this quote just stuck out at me!

"My get up and go just got up and went"
-Also on a boring magnet but just has something about it which makes you want to proudly show this quote on your fridge. I think it might be the common agreement among most people and frequent quality of procrastination that so many will be able to identify with. It somehow credits this quality and gives us a reason to be able to explain why the 'washing hasn't been put out on the line'.

"I'm on a gin and tonic diet, so far I've lost two days!"
-I think this one has to be my favourite with the irony of the good deed of going on a diet and the not so good deed of consuming so much alcohol that you can't remember the last two days...! So there's some marketing advice for you right there!

"Age is an issue of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter"
-Age, being a very touchy subject as you grow older, is something that people will be able to come together on agreement that this is a 'feel good' quote and maybe if you have it pinned up on your fridge you might come to realize that it doesnt actually matter!

These quotes are all aimed to make you identify with and feel good about yourselves, whilst obviously at the same time creating humour and giving you a reason to buy that magnet to stick on your fridge door!
