Alien Planet on Discovery Channel

Discovery takes us on a journey, this time a virtual journey into space looking for life on another planet. The same technology that has brought us dinosaurs and other creatures now brings us a look at what life on another planet might look like.

Aboard the fiction spaceship we journey to a planet called Darwin IV, some 6.5 light years from here. Picture in your mind two suns and 60 percent gravity. Our scientists have concluded that Darwin IV could support life and a pilot mission to Darwin IV. Aboard the mother ship Von Braun are three probes: Balboa, Da Vinci and Newton. The scientists of course expect to find some microscopic life but the probes find a little more than expected.

You are brought to your TV screen the data, just like the scientist would receive it, hearing their discussions on the findings. Some of the famous people discussing the findings and film footage are: Stephen Hawking (discovered that black holes emit radiation), Michio Kaku (String Field Theory), Jack Horner (Regents Professor of Paleontologoly), Craig Venter (Research of Genomics), George Lucas (Star Wars), and Jim Garvin (NASA’s chief scientist)
