Dr Seuss Basic Concepts Books

Dr. Seuss Nursery Books teach the baby(infant) and toddler basic concepts. The knowledge of juvenile basic concepts is necessary to develope strong language and reading skills. Dr. Seuss uses his zany characters and nonsensical rhyme to capture the little ones’ attention. Dr. Seuss baby books are interactive, too.

Juvenile basic concepts board and cloth books teach children to recognize colors, animals, opposites and numbers(counting). Use the primary colors to teach kids colors. There are different shapes in the books. Some are tactile. Allow children to touch the different shapes as they say the names.

Read the Dr. Seuss board and cloth books. The rhymes are not as complicated as in later books, but children understand and love the humor. Babies and toddlers clap and bounce to the rhythm of the poetry. They learn language patterns while listening to Dr. Seuss poetry.

Circus McGurkus 1, 2, 3 and One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish are counting books. They deal with the numbers 1-10. Also, Circus McGurkus 1, 2, 3 teaches children different animals. In fact, all the Dr. Seuss basic concept books center around an animal. Wet Pet, Dry Pet, Your Pet, My Pet teaches opposites.
