Current Cast Changes

Change is in the air and you’ll be seeing some new and some familiar faces on your favorite soaps. Here’s a quick guide to all the comings and goings that are taking place on your screens.

All My Children:

Ricky Paull Goldin started airing in April as the legend character Jake Martin. Ricky is a longtime soap vet who has appeared on Another World, The Young and the Restless, and most recently Guiding Light.

Laurence Lau will reprise his role of Greg Nelson sometime in May. Details are sketchy about his return, but since Jesse and Angie are back it seems natural that their good friend will be back in Pine Valley.

Ambyr Childers will be departing her role of Colby Chandler in May. The actress confirmed in her blog that she’s leaving to pursue other opportunities. Brianne Moncrief will be taking over the role when Childers leaves.

General Hospital:

Seamus Dever will be making his last appearance as Ian Devlin on May 5. Even though he’s only been on the show since January, many fans thought the character had potential and are sad to see this bad boy leave the show.

Natalia Livingston’s last airdate as the character Emily Quartermaine is May 7. Nicholas shares a touching goodbye to his ghost of a lover as he decides to have the brain tumor removed.

Tamlyn Tomita begins her role of Giselle on May 16. She’ll be playing a fashion magazine rival to Kate Howard.

Dylan Cash will be ending his run as Michael Corinthos III very soon. Dylan has played the role for six years, but it’s rumored that the part will be recast with an older actor.

Jason Cook will be starting sometime this June as a doctor with possible connections to the mob. Cook, best known as Shawn Brady on Days of our Lives, will be making a lot of female fans happy with his return to soaps.

One Life to Live:

Tuc Watkins, always a fan favorite, returns as David Vickers on May 7. Watkins, who recently appeared on Desperate Housewives, is back on OLTL to ruffle some Buchanan feathers.

Susan Haskell, the original Marty Thornhart, returns to that role in June. The actress, married to AMC star Thorsten Kaye, took time off from acting to have her two children.

Andrea Evans returns as the iconic Tina Lord sometime in June. She recently wrapped up her role on Passions and is headed back to Llanview to stir up some trouble.

Kevin Spirtas will begin in June as the mysterious Jonas Chamberlain. Spirtas is best known for his role as Dr. Craig Wesley on Days of Our Lives.

Thom Christopher is said to be returning as the evil Carlo Hesser, but
ABC has not confirmed this yet.

Forbes March, who plays Nash Brennan, is rumored to be leaving the show. Again, ABC has not confirmed this.
