  3. Emma (was 2nd)
  4. Olivia (was 3rd)
  5. Ava (was 5th)
  6. Emily (was 6th)
  7. Abigail (was 8th)
  8. Madison (was 7th)
  9. Chloe (was 9th)
  10. Mia (was 10th)
  11. Addison (was 12th)
  12. Elizabeth (was 11th)
  13. Ella (was 14th)
  14. Natalie (was 16th)
  15. Samantha (was 15th)
  16. Alexis (was 13th)
  17. Lily (was 18th)
  18. Grace (was 17th)
  19. Hailey (was 25th)
  20. Alyssa (was 19th)
Hailey is new to the top 20 since 2009. The name Hailey replaced -- the name that fell out of the top 20 -- was Ashley (was 20th, now 27th).

Girl names that became more popular between 2009 and 2010 include:A lot of these were influenced by popular culture. Tiana is the name of a Disney princess, for instance, and Maci is one of the teen moms on the reality show Teen Mom.

Girl names that became less popular between 2009 and 2010 include Analia, Caylee, Rihanna, Jadyn, Cara, Diamond, Nathalie, Meredith, Marlee, Lizbeth, Malia, Yasmin, Kimora, Angie, Fernanda, Marley, Sasha, Ciara, Kyra and Kiera.
