Board Games for Two

Why put up with a crowded restaurant this Valentine's Day? Stay in and make it a game night for two. There are plenty of board games that are meant for two players.

Checkers - This is a game that is a staple in most households. Put a little friendly wager on the game like the loser does the dishes or the winner receives a nice back rub. Be creative and have some fun.

Chess - Chess is another board game that can be found around a lot of homes. This strategy game might be a little taxing for Valentine's night but might be a great choice for many.

Connect Four - This game has been around a while. Players take turns dropping checker pieces into the playing grid, hoping to connect 4 either in a straight line or diagonally.

Backgammon - Players move their playing pieces around the board through the roll of the dice. This is another one of those games that is usually sold with checkers or chess, so it is possibly that it could be sitting on a shelf in your home right now.

Battleship - Wage war with this classic game as you try to sink your opponent's battleships first. It might not be the most romantic game but is entertaining.

Stratego - This capture the flag board game was made for two players. Again, it might not be the most romantic game but could make for an interesting game night.

Hera and Zeus - Now here is a title that at least stars one of the most well known couples of the ancient world. Unfortunately this game isn't really celebrating their love but their volatile tempers. Players take on the role of either Hera or Zeus and then align themselves with other gods to take down the other player.

There are plenty of board game choices that are made for two people. Playing a board game at home after a nice, home cooked dinner is a perfect alternative to a crowded Valentine's night on the town.
