The Feng Shui bagua is the tool that is used to map your home, and once you know what each area of your home represents, you can start decorating with Feng Shui by adding furniture, accessories, and colors to activate the special energy of each of these areas. The nine areas of the bagua are: Wealth, Future, Love, Creativity, Helpful People, Career, Knowledge, Family, Well-Being, and each is represented by specific colors, shapes, and objects. Here are a few of my favorite recommendations for the types of things you can place in each bagua area to activate its attributes when decorating with Feng Shui. You dont need to use all of these items in a bagua area; instead, you can choose the items that for you match the qualities of the area.

When decorating with Feng Shui, some people are tempted to overdo it and put all of these items in each of the bagua areas of their home. I recommend you resist the urge to over-adjust. One or two items that represent the attributes of each bagua area for you will do the job.
