My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Directed by Ivan Reitman, the mind behind “Evolution,“ and “Ghostbusters I and II,“ “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” is an unconventional love story about the man who broke his superhero girlfriend’s heart. Luke Wilson is Matt Saunders, a man who has waited a long time to meet the girl of his dreams. When he meets and falls in love with Jenny Johnson (Uma Thurman), he believes that he’s finally found her. Unfortunately, Jenny isn’t perfect - far from it. The longer they’re together, the more possessive and controlling Jenny becomes. Overwhelmed by her neediness, Matt breaks up with Jenny, and she promises that she will make him live to regret it.

It turns out that Jenny Johnson is no ordinary woman. She is also the superhero known as G-girl, who boasts the powers of super speed and extraordinary strength, among other things. Typically albeit reluctantly, Jenny only uses her superpowers as G-girl, with the intention of fighting crime. However now that her heart has been broken, she decides to use her powers in a very different way: to turn Matt’s life upside down. Jenny uses everything in her superpower to embarrass and scare Matt, regardless of the consequences. When Matt begins dating a new woman, Jenny takes it even further, involving Matt’s new girlfriend, Hannah, in her wild pranks.

“My Super Ex-Girlfriend” stars Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson as Jenny and Matt. No stranger to playing the role of a woman with phenomenal skills, Thurman has also starred in Quentin Tarantino’s popular “Kill Bill” films. She has most recently starred in the romantic comedy “Prime” with Meryl Streep. Luke Wilson has most recently appeared in “The Family Stone” with Sarah Jessica Parker and is slated to appear in more than five films over the next year.

This film also stars a wide range of other diverse actors including Rainn Wilson, who is well-known for his hilarious roles on TV’s “Six Feet Under” and “The Office; Anna Faris, who is quite well-known for her role in the “Scary Movie” horror spoof series, “stand-up comic Wanda Sykes (“Monster-In-Law“), and stand-up comic Eddie Izzard, who was the voice of Nigel in the animated film, “The Wild.” Mark Consuelos who has a recurring role on "Hope and Faith" with wife, Kelly Ripa, also stars.
