Whispers (Berkley) by Erin Grady is up first, with Gracie Beck returning to her hometown, and Reilly Alexander doing the same. This pair has more than their own past to deal with here. This one has time shifts and point of view changes that can be jarring when one is reading. It just didn't grab me.
The Spirit of the Wolf (Berkley) by Karen Kay is next, with Grey Coyote trying to break the centuries-old curse that binds his tribe. Englishwoman Marietta Welsford shouldn't have anything to do with, or so she believes. This one is more Indian romance than paranormal, and has plenty of historical detail to that end.
Parallel Attraction (Signet Eclipse) by Deidre Knight is next. Jared Bennett isn't exactly what he seems--heck, he's not even human, but an alien king. Kelsey Wells thinks there's something about him, but she can't quite figure it out. If you're looking more for fantasy than the standard paranormal romance these days (ie, vampires), this might be right up your alley.
Hunger like No Other (Pocket Star) by Kresley Cole has half-vampire, half-Valkyrie Emma Troy assaulted in Paris by Lykae leader Lachlain MacRieve, despite him believing her to be his mate. Nice way to start a relationship. If you can get past that, this one is different enough from the standard vampire tale these days that it might be just what vampire romance fans are looking for.
