Over in the forum, we're getting ready to start our book club discussion on this month's romantic suspense, Taken by Barbara Freethy. I hope you'll join us for the discussion which is set to start the week of September 24, 2006. You do have to register to participate in forum discussions, but it is free, so please come on over and talk books!
Paradise (Pocket Books) by Judith McNaught is being reissued in October. Matt Farrell and Meredith Bancroft were married once, a long time ago. Now he intends to take her family's business out from under them. But neither of them can stop the memories from coming back, despite all that's happened between them. If you missed this one the first time out, and have enjoyed her books in the intervening years, you might want to snag it when it hits shelves in another couple of weeks.
Hot Night (Brava) by Shannon McKenna has just hit bookstores. This time out, museum development manager Abby Maitland's absent-mindedness has netted her a dangerously sexy locksmith when her blind date has more than nightcaps in mind and she's locked herself out of her house. Zan Duncan is definitely a bad boy, which means he's out of her prospective dating pool these days. But she can't seem to avoid him, nor does she really want to, if she's honest with herself. As always in a McKenna romance, you get plenty of hot sex plus really good suspense, a winning combination in her hands. Compared to the Brava release I reviewed earlier this week, this one definitely lives up to the Brava name. Abby and Zan have seriously explosive chemistry, so keep a cool drink handy when you're reading this one. A definite keeper, this one earns four and a half of Cupid's five arrows.
Until next time, happy reading!
