Chronic Gastritis

Like most stomach ailments, chronic gastritis is not a disease in and of itself, but a symptom of any number of underlying causes. Chronic gastritis is very curable, once the cause is identified. Those whom experience chronic gastritis have multiple upper abdominal upsets.

Recognizing Chronic Gastritis As A Symptom - What you feel:
  • Upper Abdominal Distention (Visible Bloating)
  • Fullness Following Just a Few Bites of Food
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Belching
  • Loss of Appetite
  • Feeling Lethargic (Loss of Energy)
  • Fever
  • Weight Loss

Chronic Gastritis and What Is Happening In Your Body:
  • Inflammation of Gastric Mucosal Lining
  • Hyperchlorhydria (Abnormally High Gastric pH Levels)
  • Bile Reflux (When Bile Refluxes Upward From the Duodenum Into the Stomach)
  • Possible Gastric Hemorrhage (Bleeding Within the Stomach)

    Causes of Chronic Gastritis:
  • Emotional Stress (Stress Directly Affects Liver Function, Which In Turn Has Impact on the Stomach)
  • Helicobacter Pylori (A Bacterial Infection Present In About 50% Of All Human Beings, Causing Peptic
    Ulcers)
  • Parasites (From Undercooked or Raw Seafood)
  • Fungal Infection (From an Autoimmune Disorder)
  • Medications (MSAIDs – Anti Inflammatory Drugs That Can Cause Stomach Inflammation; and Steroids)
  • Radiation Treatments
  • Smoking
  • Excessive Use of Alcohol
  • Too Much Coffee
  • Food or Environmental Allergens
  • Eating Disorders (A Dysfunctional Use of Food: Binge Eating, Anorexia and Bulimia)

    Diagnosing Chronic Gastritis :

Because Chronic Gastritis is a symptom which resembles many other stomach conditions, testing is necessary for diagnosis. You may be tested through your doctor, naturopath or licensed TCM Practitioner (Traditional Chinese Medicine.) For non-toxic treatments, naturopathic or TCM treatments are most highly recommended.

*Please know that I am not a medical doctor or a health practitioner. I cannot diagnose your stomach problems nor can I guarantee a cure. I am here to share my knowledge, which applications have worked for me and to offer suggestions of where you may go physically, emotionally and spiritually for healing and self-empowerment. If you choose to explore alternative medicine, do not independently stop taking your prescribed medications. Always consult with your current doctor as well as your new practitioner when changing your medical program
