Blessings in Submission

As a Christian, you die to self. You become selfless. You surrender every part of self to your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He begins a good work in you. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.

According to Wikipedia, surrender in terms of religion, means that a believer completely gives up his own will and subjects his thoughts ideas, and deeds to the will and teachings of a higher power. It may also be contrasted with submission. Surrender is willful acceptance and yielding to a dominating force and their will.

Submission is one of those words that many people cannot say with a straight face. The bible tells us that wives are to submit to their husbands. Husbands are not off the hook because it is clear in Ephesians 5:21-22 submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord.

When the Lord took residence inside of your body, you became alive. You were once dead in sin, but the Lord brought life. As you die to self, you increase in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. According to Philippians 1:21 For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

As the Holy Spirit teaches and guides us, we will begin to have a certain boldness to speak the Word of God. He not only takes control of your speech, he takes control over everything. If you are a teacher, you will become a better teacher. If you are a car salesman, you will become a better car salesman.

The Lord will perform his good work until Jesus returns. There will never be another moment in your life that you will be alone. The Lord is with us. He said that he would never leave us nor forsake us.

In knowing who we are, we must understand that God cannot tell a lie. If he said it, he will do it. It is impossible for him to tell a lie. God is not like man who should lie. The bible is filled with many promises for every situation in your life. His word cannot return void. His word will perform.
According to 1 Kings 8:20 And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

Be patient. Allow the Lord to perform his word. Totally submit to the Lord. Your faith added to his promise equals your blessing. Your timing is not his timing. Your way is not even his way. You may receive your blessing in disguise so to speak. It may not be what you asked for, but it will be better than you expected.

Be Blessed
