The season finale of Bones was jammed packed with mystery, presidential requests, and ZZ Top. With the upcoming nuptials of Angela and Hodgins, Bones, Booth, and the gang work together to solve the case of yet another decomposing corpse. Though by the end the murder-mystery was solved, Bones left its faithful audience with several other questions to chew on over the summer.

The first being, will Zack be here next season? Receiving a letter from the President of the United States, the shy and over-analytic Zack Addy faced the decision of going to Iraq. Zack did seem determined to go, going as far as turning down the opportunity to be Hodgin’s best man in fear of something happening while he’s gone. Though Hodgin’s whole-heartedly tried to convince him to stay, it seemed that it might have been in vein. This was made evident as Zack gave the presidential letter to Booth asking him to explain it to everyone after the ceremony.

The wedding posed its own question. Where did Angela and Hodgins run off to? The ceremony was as unique as it was lovely. Features of the wedding included Angela wearing a cape instead of a veil and the bride being escorted down the aisle by her father (Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top) while harpist played a ZZ Top song. Though fun, the ceremony didn’t go with out a hitch. As the minister began her service, a federal employee interrupted the proceedings asking to speak with both Angela and Hodgins. It appeared that Angela was previously married in Fiji 4 years prior. Not wanting to disappoint their guests, they re-entered the room announcing that everyone should enjoy the reception. They then ran out the door leaving Booth and Bones standing at the alter.

Standing there, Bones turns to Booth and asks, “So what do we do now?” This being said, they both then turn to the minister standing in front of them. Through the past 2 seasons of Bones the underlying “chemistry’ between Bones and her partner Booth has been mounting. The recent event of Bone’s father’s capture has only made their relationship stronger.

So what will they do now? Will Zack go off to Iraq? If so, will he be around next season? Where did Angela and Hodgins go? Did they go to get Angela’s previous marriage annulled or just plain ran away? And what about Booth and Bones. Will they ever get together; or will the show just constantly tease us with what may never be? Of course the answers to these questions will have to wait until Bones starts its third season in the fall.
