Catherine Crier is a Golfer

I can hear many out there saying who is Catherine Crier, well she is a well known (by some of us anyway) a attractive lady judge who is hostess of the show Court TV called Catherine Crier Live a legal-news talk show. I first heard about her when she was a legal news advisor on Fox News. She was so articulate and down to earth and to think I did not know she played golf.

There was a short write up about her on Golf For Women magazine called First Cuts. All this article did was give brief accounts of Catherine of her background and a little information about her golf. Catherine is from Bedford, New York and has a handicap of 22 with her best score of 86 and the best drive of her career was a 220 yard drive. Her favorite clubs are the Callaway Big Bertha driver and the 4 iron as they work for her most consistently. We have that in common as my favorite clubs are the Callaway Great Big Bertha II woods and irons. I am now working with the Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwoods and have two of them and these clubs are amazing.

Catherine started playing golf in 1988 when she was a judge in Dallas, Texas as she was dating a guy who was crazy about golf. She played with him and his buddies on weekends and related she had the best time as it was straight out of the movie Tin Cup. She grew up in Texas and she said the beautiful surroundings takes your mind off politics and legal matters so the sport of golf was a great release.

The Crenshaw Cliffside Course in Barton Springs in Austin, Texas is her favorite course. She also loves Mauna Kea Resort in Hawaii and the Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Catherine says her dream is to play Augusta National some day. Some of the wild things she has seen on a golf course are that she had to step around a kangaroo in Australia. She also has moose and elk on her ranch in Jackson, Wyoming.

Of course since she loves golf she also has acquired a hole-in-one at her home course at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club. It was 165 yards witnessed by her playing partners. She said her friends from Dallas sent her a plastic trophy where she keeps that perfect ball. She said golf has taught her to forget the bad shots and play to improve your own game and not to care about others and enjoy the moment.

There is a picture of Catherine with this article and it is not in golf apparel but in a black dress sitting on an office desk. She is so smart looking and I miss watching her on Fox News as I don’t have Court TV on my cable. I was happy to learn she loves to play golf as we share the sport that you can play for the rest of your life.
