Cutting Instructions
Cream:
Brown:
Red:

Sewing Instructions: Cut out all the pieces and lay them in their order on the worksurface in front of you. Refer to the template maps above for directions.
Step 1: This block has 5 rows, rows 1 & 5 are identical, rows 2 & 4 are identical, and row 3 stands alone. Well make tows 1&5 first. Sew row 1 together, following the diagram below. Sew row 5 together, following the diagram below.
Step 2: Sew row 2 together, following the diagram below. Sew row 4 together, following the diagram below.
Step 3: Sew row 3 together by first making the FGGF units, then sew the ABA units, and finally sewing the units together. See the diagram below.
Step 4: Now its time to sew the rows together. Sew rows 1 and 2 together. Sew rows 4 & 5 together. Then sew the three rows together.
Your block should measure 12-1/2" on all sides. It will measure 12" finished size when it is sewn into a quilt.
