Chios, North Aegean Islands
Also know as Hios, this island claims to be the birthplace of Homer.
* Vroulidia - a sandy beach sits on a rocky coast
Lesvos, North Aegean Islands
Located barely off the Turkish coast, this island boasts mineral springs and health spas.
* Skala Eressos – a family favorite with a lake full of turtles
* Vatera - a six-mile wide beach
Samos, North Aegean Islands
The birthplace of many philosophers including Pythagoras.
* Megalo Seitani and Micro Seitani - accessible by boat on foot
Peloponnese
Sparta, once the greatest enemy of Greece, is located here.
* Finikounda - a picturesque fishing village
* Nafplio - lots of archeological sites in this former capital of Greece
Skiathos, Sporades Islands
A great combo of beautiful beaches and nightlife.
* Banana Beaches - nudists are welcome at Little Banana (Spartacus)
* Koukounaries - accessible by bus from Skiathos Town
* Lalaria Beach - accessible only by sea
