My first thought was holiday anthologies, but there haven't been a lot of Halloween-related anthologies in recent years. Rather disappointing for those of us who enjoy them--more even than some of the Christmas anthologies.
So, scratch the anthology idea. What about scary tales? Nah. We can read romantic suspense any time of year, so scratch that, too.
What about witches? Hm, this idea has possibilities. So I did a little more digging through my shelves and came up with a short list of books you may want to check out to find yourself a little witchy romance for the season.
Maggie Shayne:
Raven in Eternity
Arianna and Nicodimus in Infinity
Niduba and Natum/Nathan in Destiny
Aurora in Everything She Does is Magic (in the Bewitching anthology)
Puabi in Out of This World Anthology
Mirabella in Witch Moon Rising, Witch Moon Waning: Two Novels
Sandra Hill
Maire of the Moors in Blue Viking
Nora Roberts
Nell in Dance upon the Air
Ripley in Heaven and Earth
Mia in Face the Fire
Morgana in "Captivated," in The Donovan Legacy: Captivated, Entranced, Charmed
Patricia Rice
Ninian in Merely Magic
Leila in Must Be Magic
Felicity in The Trouble with Magic
