We Interrupt this 60-in-60 Program

It’s been a great week with the beginning of the 60-in-60 series featuring one business owner each day. I send out a huge thanks to the featured business owners for the feedback, I love sharing your stories.

However, today I’m taking a tiny little commercial break and writing about something that I think we can all benefit from, that is if you have a blog. You see, over at problogger.net there’s something very special going on. People from around the world, really, from the around the world, are taking a fun (free) course called "31 Days to Build a Better Blog." Each day, a new lesson is given that will help you create a better blog, this from professional blogger Darren Rowse. I’ve just started the course and it’s helped me change the way that I “think” about my blog. I guess you can say what I’ve gotten from the first two days is causing me to become “intentional” about the who, what, where, why and how of my blog. The first day, the focus was on writing an elevator pitch for your blog. Those taking the course are not just asked to do the assignment; Rowse, explains why the particular aspect of the blog is important and the impact that doing it well can have.

I like this course because it gives one a chance to improve at something they love doing, to move toward excellence, not to be confused with perfection. And, if you love your blog, why not get better at it? I also like that there’s a forum and you can read the feedback and get tips and thoughts from other bloggers. The program just started, there’s still time for you to sign up. Just click on the link below or go to problogger.net and check it out. If you decide not to join in the 31 blogging challenge, at least look around the site, you’ll find an abundance of useful information.

Five Reason to Participate in 31 Days to Build a Better Blog

1. You will be glad you did at the end.
2. You may get so good at this that your blog is elevated to “super-star” status.
3. You may find that you have another “voice” inside.
4. You’ll meet other bloggers from around the world.
5. The course is prepared by an expert who has put lots of time into making it a high quality offering.

With that said, we now return to our regularly scheduled program. Tune in tomorrow as the 60-in-60 continues, to read about the featured business owner of the day.
