Chocolate Bread Recipe

Chocolate lovers are always looking for ways to add chocolate to our lives. Chocolate bread is a great place to start. This bread can be used for sandwiches, French toast, regular toast, or as it is. It is super easy to make and not overly sweet. Chocolate bread gives you an opportunity to add chocolate to breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is just enough chocolate to satisfy. As this bread bakes in the oven, the aroma is intoxicating.

1/2 cup of butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of unsweetened baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon vanilla

5. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, beating after each addition.
7. Pour into a greased loaf pan, the typical size of the average loaf pan is 9 inch by 5 inch.
8. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Test with a toothpick to make sure the bread is cooked fully. The toothpick will come out clean once it is done.

Cinnamon Glaze Recipe

This is optional and I only recommend if you will be eating the bread by itself. I love cinnamon and chocolate together. This will definitely boost the sweetness!

Ingredients:

1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
2. Whisk until smooth.
3. Add additional milk if mixture is too thick. Add milk one teaspoon at a time until it reaches desired consistency.
4. Pour over cooled cake.

Chocolate bread is a great way to add chocolate to your life. Enjoy and sweeten the soul with chocolate!
