Tango hatched at the end of March this year and just recently moved into his new home with my friend Cindy Chadwick after being fully weaned. Their introduction was a little rough at first, but with Cindy's patient work with him, Tango is now turning into the sweetheart that she hoped he would be.
Jardines Parrots are from the Poicephalus family of birds and originate in Central Africa. There are at least three subspecies of Jardines with a possible fourth as well. The three known subspecies have common names and are known as the Black Wing Jardine, the Lessor Jardine and the Greater Jardine.
The Jardine is a little larger than the other Poicephalus Parrots and are quickly becoming popular pets due to their calm nature and excellent talking ability.
