Essential oil Flashpoints

It is important to know the flash point of essential oils if you are going to use them in making soaps. Soap saponifies at high temperatures up to 190 degrees Farenheit. It is therefore important to use essential oils with higher flash points or to blend low temperature flash point eo's with eo's that have a higher flashpoint to make them more stable in soap. Here is a listing of common essential oils used in making soaps and there flash points:
