Baked Aparagus with Cheese

Baked Asparagus with Cheese

  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus, washed and trimmed
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar of Monterrey Jack cheese
  • 2 T. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. butter or margarine

Preparation -
Spray a shallow baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange the asparagus spears in the pan . Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, then with bread crumbs. Dot with butter or margerine. Bake, uncovered, at 425º for about 15 minutes or until asparagus is tender.
