Years ago, someone dreamed up a plan to control population and abolish unwanted, “inferior” ethnic groups. Part of the program was to have a government-enforced application and permit process for parenthood. Both the prospective mother and father had to meet stringent financial, physical and social criteria in order to be granted the permission to conceive and bear a child. The final, inhumane insult in this agenda was the policy of no more than one child born per approved couple.

This must be China’s one child policy, you say. Or perhaps it’s the stirring of Hitler’s animosity toward certain ethnic groups. No. Both are very similar to this scenario, but the program you just read about was envisioned much closer to home. In early 20th century New York City, by Margaret Sanger, to be exact.

Margaret Sanger (1879-1966) was the founder of Planned Parenthood. While her plan to “liberate” women from having unwanted or inconvenient children by means of legal permits never came to fruition, she ultimately succeeded in population control under the guise of giving women the right to exercise control over their own bodies.
