Sketchbook Pro is Now Free

Sketchbook Pro is Now Free
After using Sketchbook Pro, the digital sketching software from Autodesk, for almost a year, several of my favorite features include the digital Copic Markers, Radial Symmetry, Predictive Stroke and unlimited brushes for just about any project, from Manga to fine art. Of course, I also love the Flipbook animation feature in the Desktop version and the Sketchbook Motion app. Now Sketchbook Pro is free. Below, I've listed some of my favorite tutorials on the Autodesk website.

In the past, Sketchbook came in two versions, a limited featured free version and the full featured Sketchbook Pro version, which was available with a yearly subscription. However a few months ago, on April 30, Autodesk announced that they are dropping their limited featured free version and replacing it with Sketchbook Pro, which is now free for desktop, mobile and tablets.

What does this mean? Well, you now have all the features that were available in the Pro version in the free version. Just go to the website, open a free account and download Sketchbook.

But what if you have a Sketchbook Pro subscription? Well, you won't get a refund. Just download the latest Sketchbook update, open Sketchbook and your subscription will not auto-renew.

Autodesk states that they will continue to develop Sketchbook for designers and animators. And, they still offer the Enterprise License for business.
