In this week's column are appetizing light entrees/appetizers that just hit the spot before dinner or to make as a meal. And we have a special 'company for dinner' pork roast recipe.

As you know pork is advertised as "the Other White Meat", to that end the North Carolina Pork Council has outdone itself. When you see their "The Other White Meat" site which is located in the 'related link' section, you'll see what I mean. There are recipes, menus, preparation tips, nutrition, purchase and storage information and video demonstrations all devoted to pork.
