Atkins Chips and Sour Cream Dip

Atkins Chips and Sour Cream Dip
If you're craving a chip with dip, try the Atkins crunchers plain chips plus a sour cream and onion dip. Perfect for a low carb party, or for snacking!

First, the Atkins crunchers. There are 4g effective carbs per bag. The image above has a full bag of chips. They say a bag is a single serving, but if you had this out at a party it could really be 4+ servings per bag easily. I personally couldn't eat a whole bag of these as a snack, they're too filling.

Next, the dip. Normally the dip I make is a container of sour cream plus a bag of Lipton onion soup mix. But this would make too much. So what's pictured above is a half container of sour cream (14g) plus a half bag of soup mix (16g). So that's 30g total, maybe 7g per person.

If you're in the early stages of Atkins, this could still be too much. For me it's great :) But to help out early stage people, make your own soup mix instead of getting the carb-rich store version. Mix 4 Tbsp beef bullion, 3 Tbsp minced onion, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/8 tsp celery seed, and just a dash of Splenda. That cuts your dip down to around 4g per person.

The chips are definitely crunchy and their dusty, soy taste vanishes when you eat them with a good dip. So this is my favorite way to enjoy them.
