Chicken Cheddar Omelet Recipe

Chicken Cheddar Omelet Recipe
Omelets are perfect for any meal. This chicken and cheddar omelet recipe includes grape tomatoes for delicious flavor and antioxidant nutrition.

Ingredients:
1 egg
1/2 oz whole milk
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 slices nitrate-free chicken
1/2 oz grape tomatoes (around 5)
2 Tbsp onion bits
1/2 tsp olive oil
dash salt
dash pepper

Begin by stirring the egg and milk into a small bowl, add in the dash of salt and pepper. Preheat a non-stick pan with the olive oil and onion bits. After a minute or so, chop up the chicken into small squares and stir that in. In another 2 minutes or so add in the egg mixture.

Using typical omelet practices, swirl the pan to get it to coat. It shouldn't be thick enough to need to flip, with it only being a single pan. When it's mostly cooked, sprinkle on the serving of cheese and then fold the omelet in half.

Chop up the tomatoes into small pieces and sprinkle those over the top. Serve and enjoy!

This has only 3g of carbs in it, and supplies a whopping 20g of protein. It also provides 25% of your calcium and 13% of your vitamin A. Total calories here are 277.

It's a nicely filling dish and it's great for a breakfast to get you going, or a dinner to end your day with.

The chicken I happen to use is Hormel's natural choice rotisserie style deli chicken breast - that way I know it has no nitrates or nitrites or anything else. I feel strongly that we should be cautious about any meats we eat, that they are free from artificial chemicals as much as possible. I'm sure there are other brands that offer similar products.

Tomatoes are incredibly healthy for you. The antioxidants in them provide a wealth of benefits, and some studies show that eating tomatoes daily helps with cancer and prostate health.

This is a great reason to have a few tomato plants in your garden - that way you get free, fresh tomatoes in your daily diet, and help keep your system running smoothly!
