Don’t fret, don’t faint, and don’t get all ghoulish if you don’t have the “perfect” music for Halloween. You still have time to download MP3s and iTunes full of monster charm and frightening fiddles!

My ghoul with this article is to help you in your quest to find some last minute creepy crawly music for your Halloween blast. Music adds atmosphere, even if it's just for passing out the candy. Remember - one for them, two for you!

In my world of ghosts, witches, monsters and aberrations of spooky things, there is nothing better than the music from Dark Shadows. This 1999 release of the original scores is available for single song and CD download. It includes, Dark Shadows/Collinwood, Shadows of the Night – Quentin’s Theme and I, Barnabas.

If scary movies are your thing, try out Halloween (Digital Version). This CD includes, Friday, the 13th, Psycho (The Murder), The Exorcist (Tubular Bells), and The Shining.

For great dinner music, bowls of eyeballs and blood stew, try Mannheim Steamroller’s Halloween. On the music menu you will find, Rock & Roll Graveyard, Harvest Dance, Ghost Voices and Alien Spaceship.

Don’t forget the kids! Kidz Bop Halloween is also available for download with great songs like, Ghostbusters, Monster Mash, Purple People Eater and Scooby Doo.

And last, but not least, if you are looking for downloads of groans, moans, rattles, booms, bangs, zips, zaps, screams and howls, there are scads of downloads available in the “Halloween sound effects” category.

One final idea – how about making your own boo-tee-ful sounds. Most of us have cheap microphones and some laptops have a mic on the side. Rattle a pan or two filled with rocks, give a groan, scream out all your frustrations, have a blast hooting a haunting howl or cackle a wacky witchy laugh. Your kids will be more than happy to join in. Download your own Halloween effects to a CD to add to your creative spooky celebration.
