I have come across some samples of products from Meguiar's that I must tell everyone about. I thought I had the whole story on detailing--Not! I had the distinct pleasure of trying several products from Meguiar's and was so impressed by them that I added them to my inventory of detailing products.

The first product was Scratch X. It is defined as a scratch and swirl remover--it comes in a lotion form which can be applied and removed easily. I thought the process of waxing and using detailing spray was impressive but when I sampled the Scratch X, I found the color to be even darker and richer--not to mention the swirls and scratches were eliminated. I applied it in a small area--the front where I get the most scratches from driving. The Scratch X is formulated to eliminate defects below the surface--right down to the color. My front end literally has a glass-like finish--smooth as silk and . I applied Tech Wax afterwards for protection and endurance and I am still in awe. In my opinion, this product is PERFECT for scratches, spider webs, swirls,light contamination, light oxidation ,blemishes and even your ENTIRE VEHICLE! It is packaged in a 7 oz. Tube and can be found cheapest at Wal-Mart for around $6-$7. I highly recommend this product as part of your waxing regimen.

The second product I knew I was glad to get was New PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish . How many times do we look at out headlights and realize that we would have to buy new ones in order to get better night vision and clarity? This is one of those products that cleans plastic to look like glass AND cleans glass too! Our headlights and turn signals are a part of our front ends and needless to say, they take a beating too. I am glad to recommend a product that really works AND saves you alot of money! It doesn't get any better than that people! I wish I had known about this product BEFORE I purchased new headlight assemblies--they don't come cheap because the assembly includes the turn signal too! All I did was wash the area, apply the PlastX and wipe dry. This gel formula restored optical clarity--it can be applied to both rigid and flexible plastics. It is formulated to remove light oxidation, chemical degradation, surface contamination, stains and light surface scratches easily. Also, PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish is safe on plastic rear windows on convertible tops, windows and taillights. More products coming soon!
