Relief from itching

Relief from itching
Every year when growing season rolls around I always get allergic skin reactions from a variety of sources, including grass, squash plants in the garden and sometimes even poison ivy. These reactions are called allergic contact dermatitis and produce red, bumpy, scaly, itchy or swollen skin at the point of contact.

Now, I am prepared for the upcoming itchy season with Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment which calms dry, itchy and irritated skin with natural colloidal oatmeal. This ingredient when dispersed in warm water forms a milky bath that works as a natural cleanser, provides temporary skin protection and relieves irritation and itching.

I discovered this product when looking on the internet at reviews of products that provided natural ways to relieve an itchy rash caused by an allergic reaction. I decided to give Aveeno Soothing Bath a try after reading this review from an individual who had experienced an allergic reaction from an antibiotic: “It is amazing how much better my skin felt after that first bath with the colloidal oatmeal. I was in tears before hand and after my hives looked significantly better. I will suggest this product to everyone I know in the future!”

I felt the same way. After my first bath, my skin felt like it was on its way to healing. I followed the instructions and soaked for about 30 minutes. After several days, the irritation disappeared.

This product has many beneficial uses. It is recommended for minor skin irritation and itching due to: poison ivy, oak or sumac; insect bites; rashes; and eczema. In the reviews I read, I found that the bath treatment had helped with sunburn, chicken pox, chigger bites, eczema, poison ivy, dry skin and rashes caused by antibiotic reactions.

It’s really a good staple to have around the house as we head into growing and insect season. But keep it around during the winter too if you have dry skin as it can provide all over relief. It seems to seal your skin with a barrier to prevent drying.

I’m really looking forward to using it after doing gardening or yard work to calm minor contact allergy symptoms. There are many plants in the garden that cause itchy, red skin after coming in contact with them. Zucchini, cucumber and other squash plants are some of the ones that cause my skin to flare up.
