Heart Strings cozy mystery

Heart Strings cozy mystery
I’m excited to announce the publication of my first novel, Heart Strings. It is an entertaining and suspenseful cozy mystery that will keep you guessing to the end and give you characters you'll love.

Heart Strings was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Genesis Awards of the American Christian Writers Association.

It’s the story of Lauren Halloren’s reluctant return to her hometown. As a freelance writer, she longs for a serious crime story to jump-start a career that has been stalled in nice little magazine articles of interest to senior citizens. I hope you’ll identify with this woman as she stumbles into clumsy situations in her efforts to investigate a mystery.

In the end, Lauren learns the value of the small town, friendship, forgiveness, and grace.

This is from the back cover:

In this first of the Evelynton Murder Series, freelance writer Lauren Halloren is surprised at how much her small Indiana hometown has changed. At first glance, it appears to be the same dreary burg she left twenty-five years earlier, but the more she attempts to reconnect with the community, the more she finds an undercurrent of secrets and lies.
Lauren hopes the mysterious happenings will provide writing fodder to fund her move back to the city, but when one of her newest acquaintances is found murdered, the mayhem gets too close for comfort.
She’s certain she knows who the killer is, but will she be brave enough to confront the murderer for the scoop of a lifetime?
This quirky cozy mystery is sure to keep you entertained and guessing to the last page.

What readers are saying:

“Absolutely love the book! The writing drew me in immediately and kept me there until I was finished. “

“It was a spectacularly realistic story not only the story was complex but the characters were so realistic that I felt I could put myself in the shoes of Lauren.”

“Goodness me, this book nearly sent me to the cardiologist! Murder mystery, inspirational romance, or romantic suspense. Take your pick. It's all good.”

"I TRIED to read this book nice & slow. From the moment I started the book I became the main character - truly - I was smack in the middle of it all the way through."
