Expect a Blessing
Have you every prayed and prayed for God to answer your prayer, but it seems as if the day never came or it didn’t come quick enough? Sometimes all it takes is to understand who you are and the God that we serve.
The Lord specializes in impossibilities. When you begin to expect a blessing, you will know that you will receive a blessing regardless of the difficulty of the request to God. When we come to realize that your God will supply your every need, you will begin to walk in the Word System instead of the World System.
Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. When we begin to understand the importance of operating in faith, we will receive the victory every time. The first verse of Psalm 23 says the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. When we truly begin to believe that verse, things will begin to happen for us because of our faith.
And the Philistine said to David, come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Things really sounded bleak for David. The enemy threw some very fiery darts at David. If he were weak in his faith, he might have believed that he would be defeated. Instead of settling for defeat, David had a different perspective.
Then said David to the Philstine, thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of armies of Israel, whom thou has defied. Basically, David said bring it on. You are using your weapons to fight, but I have something so much more powerful. I come in the Name of the Lord.
There is a certain boldness when we come to understand that the Lord wants us to be blessed. We are blessed to be a blessing to someone else. The Lord made a promise. Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. Leviticus 25:21
Although it may take some waiting sometimes, it is not a denial. Patience is required while believing that the blessing is on the way. Begin to operate in faith and expect a blessing. Think back to past situations that you have faced. The Lord always seem to work things out somehow for your good.
