Made to Shine John David Webster *

Made to Shine deals with the awakening we as Christians experience when we decide to come out of the darkness into the light of God's love. The bluesy home spun sound of the opening song "Made to Shine" showcases the knowledge that God gave us all the ability to shine for his Glory. Webster sings in a happy go lucky fashion that matches the fun of the track which makes me think of a juke-box groove playing in a backwater honkey tonk. Receiving happiness in restoration is basically this entire project's theme. Another standout is the song "Miracleā€¯ Webster sings of the amazing effect God's love has on him. His confession of "Truth be told, I wasn't one for miracles, Lets just say I've change my view" tells with such clarity of how the miracle of God's love changes us. This is not to say that there are not some pensive songs in the package. On the heartfelt "Now" Webster croons tenderly of the need he has for God immediately when he cries out to him. Overall this is a project of how our spirit develops during our journey with Christ into the light. Great listen for all...check it out for yourself at www.johndavidwebster.com

A Page from My Life Chuckie Perez

If your are looking for an urban pop beat with a touch of 90's style groove this is the CD for you. Known for his blend of dance, pop and urban music for Christians in the early 90's "Chuckie P" brings back this style for all on his new release. Opening with the dance mix "Groovie" one can't help but think of the days when we crowded the dance floor and began to break dance to a funky jam. The title song "A Page from My Life" is a drum driven beat that gives you a day to day break down of Chuckie's life and exactly what he is all about. One of the best tracks on the project is the Latin flavored "My People". This tune which features a rap with New Breed's Macho, is a smooth salsa beat that encourages all people to celebrate their faith without any shame. It's just a shame that it end too quickly. Singing with conviction Chuckie takes us to his moment of freedom on "Break Free" The song speaks of wanting to be the person God wants us to be and how we must break free in order to accomplish our destiny. The Watchman Paul Wilbur

What makes this praise and worship CD so wonderful is the fact that the great voice on it is none other than a Jewish believer who accepted Jesus as his Messiah in 1977. Paul Wilbur brings his wonderful talent and love for Jesus to the front of this project and it shines through in every track. Recorded live on Yom Kippur at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, the CD opens with a call of the shofar (Lord God of Abraham) and ushers in glorious sounds of praise from that moment on. Paul has a voice that is similar to Neil Diamond, crystal clear and the perfect pitched tenor. On "Adonai" he stirs the soul while singing "You alone over all the earth" and on "Holy Holy Holy is The Lord" he brings us into an intimate worship of God with a voice filled with grace. Hosanna! Music has brought us another great project and one for everyone to enjoy. Log onto www.integritymusic.com to find out more about The Watchman.
