The Book of Knowledge Knowledge MC

It's not often that I receive a CD that has the lyrics "Players, pimps, hustlers, thugs, shorties that strip for a living and cats that slang drugs..." but that is what caught my attention immediately to the song "Bring It In" off this project. Hopefully it is what will catch the attention of those living that type of life because Knowledge delivers a power packed rap aimed at the people who need it the most. He is asking for them not to change but to come to God and let Him do the changing. This hot bumping track which features hip hop legend Heavy D is one of many that grab you right from the start when you pop this CD in your player. From the heart pumping Heart of a Thug to the heartfelt Mother's Love featuring Ann Nesby, Knowledge flows easily over the trials and triumphs of a street life. This is something he knows well since he was born to a teenage mother and never knew his father. By the time he was 16 he was out on his own but the love of God saved him and now he saves others by rapping about his life and how you can find victory in Christ Jesus. The smooth and power packed lyrical flow of this MC, the banging tracks and the timeless message are what makes this CD well worth listening to...trust me. Apewe Sifa Wangeci Mbogo

The beauty of Gospel music is its appeal to the universe. The soul and sounds of Gospel music can be enjoyed by people all over the world and this can be found with Apewe Sifa! Heralding all the way from Nairobi, Kenya, Wangeci sings about the love of God in her native tongue of Kiswahili so beautifully. It is no wonder that she was nominated as the International Artist of the Year by the American Gospel Music Awards for 2004 because her clear and moving voice speaks to your heart the minute you hear it. Even though I do not speak a word of Kiswahili I felt the praise and worship of her first song Tumsifu come through the music the minute I heard it. She also has several English spoken songs on the project such as the moving "Sing to the Lord" whose bongo and bass filled beats accents her soft but luscious voice. The title track Apewe Sifa which means "give Him Praise" best describes this entire project, Wangeci gives God total praise with this CD and that can be understood in any language.
