2005 Urban Gospel Industry Awards Winners nounced.
Joining with the Edwin & Walter Hawkins Music & Arts Love Fellowship Conference, Urban Gospel Alliance succeeded in opening up a new platform for Urban Gospel artists on June 27 - July 2, 2005. The weeklong gospel music event included Urban Gospel Summits, an Urban Gospel Showcase, and the 2nd Annual Urban Gospel Industry Awards & Conference.
Participants in the conference and UGI Awards included Natalie Wilson, IDOL King, Kim Jordan, McClinton Neal, Shei Atkins, Siani, Lil IROCC, Sherwin Gardner , Alisa Anderson (www.nudayradio.com) Broderick E. Rice, Small Fire, and many more. UGA performers were treated to ministering to an audience that included Donald Lawrence, Richard Smallwood, and Edwin & Walter Hawkins among others.
"We were pleased to be able to give the urban artists the same resources and platforms that previously have only been accessible to traditional Gospel," stated Curtis Jermany, National Director for UGA. "We are thankful that all Gospel artists, regardless of genre, were able to praise and worship God under the banner of one conference."
