Marvel Nemesis : Rise of the Imperfects

Marvel Nemesis : Rise of the Imperfects
We recently tested a demo of Marvel Nemesis : Rise of the Imperfects. This fighting game lets you take on a variety of classic super-heroes.

The demo lets you play as Spider-Man and Johnny Ohm. The graphics are pretty impressive as you move around a 3-D arena area. On one arena, you're atop the Daily Bugle, complete with large letters spelling out the name. You can smash down the letters, throw boxes and barrels, and leap around on the walls.

Each character has special abilities, of course. Spider-Man can throw webs at enemies, hang from walls and even create a web-sphere shield around himself. Johnny generates lightning and can blast pretty powerfully at an enemy.

I was pretty impressed with the movement and graphics, and with how interactive the environment is. The cartoon world is nicely done - not too realistic, but not clumsy, either.

All in all, I'll definitely be looking into this title when it comes out as a full game.
