Donald Lawrence presents The Tri-City Singers Finale, Act I and IIDonald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers

If you were like me you was sad to hear that this group was presenting a final album and its members were going in different directions. Well be sad no more because when you pop this CD in your player you can't help but experience complete joy and happiness listening to the various melodic tunes on this project. Opening with the spirited "The Blessings of Abraham" Lawrence and the crew encourage their listeners stating that they are the heirs of Abraham and should go and get the inheritance promised to Abraham and his descendants. The full musical richness of this tune shines and the harmonious vocal styling of the Tri-City singers bless this song with a beauty that is unique to the group. After listening to this one track alone, you will be ready to go and get your blessing without fail. Recorded live at the Tabernacle here in Atlanta, the atmosphere of praise is transferred with ease in the recording. You get a sense of a night full of total worship coming through with each tune. Sherri Jones-Moffett of Ted and Sherri fame, smoothly and soulfully delivers the song "Encourage Yourself" and in doing so she effectively encourages us all. There are several guest artists on the Finale including Walter Hawkins "Seasons", Daryl Coley "When Sunday Comes" and LaShun Pace "And Yet I'm Still Saved" also the standard Tri-City tunes are here too. You can't have a Tri-City CD without having "Never Seen the Righteous", "God's Favor" and "Stranger" on it! This CD also comes with a DVD showcasing the concert. Yes I'm happier knowing that I can listen to this CD and watch this DVD and receive the best of the groups’ 25 year history. Thank you Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers for loving to sing and blessing us with that gift for so long.

All About You Bobby Perry& R.A.I.N.
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usThe first release from Bobby Perry & R.A.I.N. (Royal Agents Influencing Nations) opens with an urban flavored "Don't Know Why". With its pulsating beat this track lead by the smooth-voice of Brian Bullock, speaks of that enduring question of why we mess up even though we love the Lord. The message of how we must always seek God for help in overcoming our mistakes permeates easily with each lyric sung by the group. Next the bass driven "Right There" steps up the project and the hard bass and sax tracks on this tune makes it a nice bump-n-drive tune. Flavored with a guest rap by Chakina, whose flow is smooth but a little too short for this writer..rap a little longer for me next time,(Smile) the mellow groove offers the message of God always being there when we call Him. Finally the title track, a moving ballad performed by Priscilla Williams, (think Brandy Norwood with a touch of Fantasia) is a beautiful worship song focusing on the true nature of loving God and making everything all about Him. All About You is a great start for this new group and worth the listen.
