Vertical Festival for the Youth Set
In its third year, Vertical Festival, a festival geared toward the youth in Pennsylvania announces the line-up for its 2006 event, to be held September 22nd and 23rd at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds in Shippensburg, PA. The Festival will serve as a “See You At the Pole” Rally to encourage young people to participate in the national prayer gathering around the flagpole on their school campus on Wednesday, September 27th.

Schedule to participate in the event on Friday is Jeremy Camp and Stellar Kart. Saturday’s focus will be an outreach to area young people, with the first 200 attendees receiving a gift bag featuring items from HM Magazine, Christian Music Planet and MusiChristian.com. Performers on Saturday include Pillar, John Reuben and newcomers Edison Glass and Bernard. David Nasser will also speak on Saturday night.

Billed as an event for the entire family, other highlights on Saturday will include the Local Band Showcase, the county’s largest ice cream sundae, the Freedom Skateboarding Team, Paintball, “Whip-topping in the Youth Pastor’s Face”, 6 on 6 Volleyball competition, 3 on 3 Basketball, Horse rides, and much more.

“We are very excited about Vertical Festival 2006,” says Scott Brown, Vertical Festival Co-Founder in a recent press release. “We have a great line up of performers, David Nasser is a powerful speaker and the Extreme Day activities include something fun for everyone who attends. The move to Shippensburg Fairground is also a big plus this year. It is a perfect venue for an event of this kind. We’re looking forward to a great time!”
