Finding Our Way Home Review

Finding Our Way Home Review
Although spring just arrived a short time ago, it's really not too early to plan which books you might want to order to peruse by the pool or on the family's beach vacation this year. Finding Our Way Home would be worthy of consideration.

Sasha Davis is a world-famous, beautiful, lithe ballerina whose career has kept her away from home. Shortly after the death of her mother, Sasha suffers a fall in mid-performance; it's a fall so devastating that it ends her career. Because of her own prideful desire to remain in control and not rely on anyone, Sasha--suffering from cardiac arrhythmia--did not tell her dance partner/husband of her illness. The arrhythmia directly contributed to the accident. Cutting off all contact with her husband and friends, Sasha retreats to her childhood home where she nurses a broken body and spirit. She hires a local girl, Evelyn Burt, as her assistant, and begins to become affected by Evelyn's boisterous personality and ever-present optimism. Evelyn's outspokenness causes Sasha to re-evaluate her treatment of people. Ultimately, she embraces God's grace and realizes she needs and loves her husband.

It is not just Sasha who is affected. Evelyn--blinded by smooth talk--has entered into an engagement with a person of whom her family disapproves. As Sasha's metamorphosis takes place, Evelyn begins to notice the dynamics of healthy relationships and questions her own.
