Planned Parenthood Accepts Racist Donations
Has anyone heard the phone calls made by a pro-life student magazine to different Planned Parenthood clinics? In them, the caller, posing as a very open racist, pledges to make a donation to Planned Parenthood, with the stipulation that the money must go to a clinic in a disadvantaged area and be used to abort a “black baby.”

Even knowing that the caller is an actor makes the request no less cringe-worthy, but the conversations that ensued were revolting and shocking. Several of the Planned Parenthood representatives accepted the money; basically taking it under whatever specification the donor had in mind… in this case aborting black babies.

In one particular call that I heard, the young woman taking the donation sounded positively giddy at the unique prospect of paid genocide. As she fumbled in the background to document the details of the call, she told the actor that she wanted to make sure she had all the information, and that she was so “excited” because this is the first time she had gotten a call like this.

This information comes on the heels of another disturbing set of phone calls from 2005, when Planned Parenthood told callers posing as pregnant teenagers how to get around statutory rape laws. What is Planned Parenthood doing? It certainly seems to me that, as an organization that bills itself as a “social justice movement,” they are clearly missing the mark on social justice.

The entire issue of abortion aside, the fact that they will blithely accept money to abort a black baby is sickening. I say let them continue making greedy, negative-PR moves. The adamantly pro-choice will continue to be pro-choice, but the general population is what matters in pivotal moral and ethical debates such as these. Over time, Planned Parenthood will continue to shoot itself in the foot, publicly eroding any positive image it has built up in the past. As long as major media continues to cover their folly, Planned Parenthood is nickel and diming itself out of positive public opinion, and therefore power.
